Day 2 in Luleå: Living in Luleå as an international student. Time: 7:10 p.m.

Luleå dairy. Day 2. 7:10 p.m.

I knew the apartment is close to the university but was pleased to find out that it is just a k.m. away. Went to the university and registered the two mandatory courses for the quarter. Here, semesters are divided into two quarters / term. In the first quarter I will be taking Global Marketing Strategy and Marketing Management.

The university has a soothing calmness attached to it, much different than what we observed in the Uppsala University and Stockholm University.

The admission office gave me a student ID. Yea, back to school! I will be living in Luleå as an international student for at least 2 years.

In the afternoon, went to the tax office, here they call Skatteverket. We had to apply for person number ( Personnummer in Swedish ) which I think is kind of a national ID card.

Bus tickets are expensive. For adults, one way is 35 SEK which is 3.5 USD. They don’t except cash in the buses. Thankfully we had prepaid internationals cards. We need to buy monthly bus tickets which will be more cost-effective. Students are given discount I heard.

City center is six / seven km away from the university. It takes 20 minutes by bus.

We will now cook spaghetti with meat souse for dinner.

Link to day three: Luleå dairies. Day 3. 9:30 p.m.
