Out of the many fascinating things residents of Luleå do during winter, one is that they go from one island to another island by simply walking on the sea or by driving a car.
The water in the sea and river remains frozen from January to April hence it becomes safe to walk.
Today I saw this group of people sitting on middle of the sea and playing board games.
It was bright today and temperature was around 6° C.
